Get Involved!

ICAN’s Youth Peer Leadership Program – Come join us!

ICAN’s Youth Peer Leadership program provides teens the opportunity to develop leadership skills and put their abilities into practice while making a positive impact in their community. Youth Peer Leaders are a vital part of CCYSA and participate in Coalition strategies, field trips, activities, discussions, and community service projects. Through the YPL program, teens are empowered to take ownership of their community and develop skills they can apply to future academic and professional work.

Adult Peer Leadership – Get involved!

The Adult Peer Leadership program combines discussion-based classes on youth substance abuse topics with the implementation of CCYSA activities out in the community. In this way, the APL program builds a collaborative team of informed residents working to make a positive change in their community. By reaching out to the public through participation in activities, APL participants put their leadership skills into practice by positively engaging others. Participants have the opportunity to demonstrate the importance of becoming active in their own community and may invite family and friends to join them in the fight to prevent underage substance abuse.

Monthly Public Meetings – All are welcome

CCYSA holds Public Meetings on the third Tuesday of each month from 5 to 6 pm at the Chandler Police Department’s Main Station (250 E. Chicago Street, Chandler, AZ 85225). Public Meetings are a great way to get involved in CCYSA’s work in the community, network, and learn about youth substance abuse in Chandler. Please join us!
