A conversation about opiates with prevention and treatment Professionals.

Opioid overdose is the #1 cause of accidental death in the U.S. Ninety-one Americans die every day from opioid overdose.

Arizona lost 1274 people to overdoses in 2015 which is up 4.4% from the year before. This is about 3.5 people a day. (Centers for Disease Control).

Date/Time: Thursday, June 22nd 2017 @ 6:00pm- 8:00pm (please arrive no sooner than 5:45 pm).

Address: Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, McAuley Conference Rooms (Medical Office Building), 3rd floor, 3420 South Mercy Drive, Gilbert, AZ 85297

Location/Parking: This facility is located south of the San Tan 202, east of Val Vista. Please note we are meeting in the Medial Office Building, located east of the Medical Center. After parking in front of the Medical Office Building, enter the facility and take the elevator to the 3rd floor, where you will find the McAuley Conference rooms.

Audience: The presentation is designed to provide the effects of Prescription Medication and Opiate misuse, the facts surrounding opiates, reducing the Stigma of addiction, assisting individuals into treatment, and providing resources for any stage of an Opiate encounter.

This is a community focused presentation and is appropriate for teen and adult audiences.

Note: A light sweater is recommended in case the room temperature at this facility is cool. Attendees should allow additional travel time if you are not familiar with the area, as the session starts on time to ensure we end on time.
